We met these two guys, (and one girl, not pictured), during the hike. They were all students from Europe who had been in Costa Rica for 5 months as part of an exchange program.

And so we leave Puntarenas for San Jose, and our flight back to the U.S.

We ran into a little trouble on the way to San Jose. Apparently the registration for our rental car had expired. We weren't asked to pay the fine right then and there.
