Costa Rica - January 2002

We flew from Denver to Houston on December 30th, 2001. Due to security problems at Denver International Airport, we missed our connection, and spent the night in lovely Houston, Texas(sorry, no pictures). Luckily, our room and board for the night was paid for by the airline. Fly Continental!!

We stayed in a house in Costa Rica owned by Michelle Sierra - hence the house has been christend Casa Sierra Madre. I've known Michelle for a long time, and she's a good friend and a wonderful travel agent. She saved me and my traveling companions hundreds of dollars on tickets to Peru when I traveled there in 2001. I highly recommend Michelle for all of your travel needs!

Our drive from San Jose to Puerto Viejo was interesting. It was now New Years Eve, so as we drove by various communities, we would see the different bars and restraunts all lit up and decorated for the New Year.

We spent most of our time on the Caribbean side of the country, but after 2 straight days of rain, we decided to head to the Pacific Coast in search of sun. We found sun, and had a great time there as well!
